Printer supplies for business customers only

Why is Printer Supplies so Expensive?

Most people think that the prices for printer cartridges and toner are far too high. Similar to razor blades, many customers think: "Such a small amount of material can't cost that much!"

Additionally, printer cartridges run out quickly, and inkjet printer heads dry up constantly. Especially in the home and small office sector, printers are disliked companions that people would rather avoid.

How do high prices for toner and ink arise?

On one hand, the development of new printers or printing technologies costs hundreds of millions of dollars. On the other hand, most customers are not willing to pay several hundred euros for a device. Some printer manufacturers offer modern color laser printers with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, card reader, scanner, and duplex function for under 200 euros.

How can that be profitable?

The manufacturers subsidize the selling price of the devices. They want to make their profits through the sale of consumables.

Expensive printer, lower follow-up costs

Nowadays, you can say as a rule of thumb: "The more expensive the device, the lower the follow-up costs."

The more the manufacturer has to subsidize the device price, the more money they need to make later from selling printer cartridges. For example, there are inexpensive printers with great technical features that are not able to use high-capacity printer cartridges. At the same time, there are almost identical models that are more expensive to purchase but can accommodate XL printer cartridges or XL toner.

Many devices are almost identically constructed or use the same technology and differ primarily in their device software.

Affordable compatible ink cartridges and toners

The demand for cheaper, alternative printer cartridges and toner cartridges, either refilled or recycled, is steadily growing.

In principle, device manufacturers design cartridges in such a way that refilling is made difficult or economically unfeasible.

Many printer cartridges and toner cartridges now have chips that store various cartridge features, such as the fill level. In principle, the chip works like a copy protection.

For refilled cartridges, the brand names of the original manufacturers must be removed. Certain parts of the cartridge are protected by patents. This makes a complete replica legally impossible. Even reproducing certain parts, like gears, is made difficult or economically unfeasible.

Nevertheless, there is a large number of legally compliant and super-cheap toners and printer cartridges that you can order here in our shop. Savings of up to 60 percent compared to the original cartridge are sometimes possible.

Reduce printing costs with original cartridges

From time to time, device manufacturers offer promotional packages, often labeled as "Promo Packs," "Value Kits," etc. These packages often contain one toner for each color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) or two black toners (Double Pack). Additionally, certain printers also offer toner cartridges or printer cartridges with high capacity.

In most cases, savings of between 10 and 15 percent are possible with these offers. The long shelf life of toner cartridges practically invites purchase!
